I've spent most of the months of June and July researching how the Music Star works with some users from Tamagotchi Collectors, a Discord server.
We've figured some stuff out, but we still don't know for sure how to get each character.
The care mistakes seem to work just as they do in other versions of this time. They are split into two categories.
I also found out what each food item does. [I made some charts that I posted to my Tumblr account.]

I got a Tamagotchi Paradise this month!
I really like it so far. I love the characters and the fact they are split into genus and family.
I don't really like the "m!xing" from the Tamagotchi m!x, because I like it better when the care I give my Tamagotchi determines what they become. It's no fun to me when it's just random. But in this version they only inherit the body color and the eyes. The actual character you get depends on the care you give them, just as I like it.

It's fun to complete the dex and level up. The games are all really nice too.

I've raised one Tamagotchi in each field already.
I started on the land one (I actually wanted the blue one, which starts on water, but I didn't get to choose…), where I raised a Leopatchi. Then I got a Sharktchi in the water, and an Eagletchi on the sky.
Now it's August and I already have three characters on land: that first Leopatchi, a purple Mimitchi, and a green Mametchi.
I plan to fill out the other fields this month, let's see which characters I end up getting!
