Connection
This is the connection icon's section.
You may connect two Tamagotchi devices using this option.
Keep in mind that when both devices are in standby, you'll have to press β· on ONE of them.
The connection may fail if you press it on both!
On the V2 and the V3, you'll have to choose the device you want to connect to first.
The first option is for when you want to connect two devices of the same version (V2 & V2 or V3 & V3).
The second one is for connecting two different versions. These versions are compatible with each other, the V1,
and the Keitai series (you must choose the "Tamagotchi Plus" option on the Keitai.)
Your Tamagotchi will pretend to be a Plus when connecting with different versions, so Nazotchi will replace any character that does not appear on that version, even if they appear on both of the versions connecting.
The Tamagotchi Connection from 2024 is not compatible with any of the original versions. You'll only be able to connect it to another rerelease.
You'll be taken to the activity menu straight away.
If you connect two devices of the same type, you'll get to pick the activity they'll do.
The V2 does not have the visit option.
"Marriage" is not an option you can choose. They'll get married on their own after you pick any other option if they meet the requirements.
You can't choose the activity if you connect two different versions.
Games
2024 rerelease games
I'll start with the games that only appear on the rerelease.
The first one is the competing for Gotchi points game from the Keitai.
Both Tamagotchis will bet a certain amount of points and the winner (randomly chosen) will take all of them.
This is the only game you can play with no items on this version. It's also the only one where the winner is chosen at random.
To play the other games, both Tamagotchis are required to have a certain item.
One of them is the balloon game from the Keitai. The item they need is⦠the balloon.
You'll have to pick one of three balloons. Once you do this and connect both devices, the chosen balloons will inflate until they pop.
Your Tamagotchi will win if a flower comes out of their balloon.
The other game they took from the Keitai is the one where they play the trumpet.
You must play five notes on the trumpet using the buttons. After connecting the devices, the notes played on the other device will play.
You must repeat them to win. This is the only game that can be won on both devices.
There are four games more. Three of them are also on the V3: keeping balance on a ball, RC car race and building a tower out of blocks.
The last one is tug of war, which is on the V2 (and the Keitai). You need the rope for that one.
The tower game works like the balloon one. You must pick one out of three sets of blocks. The Tamagotchis will use them to build a tower, and
the tower that doesn't fall over wins.
The other three all work in the same way: you must press the βΆ & β· buttons as many times as you can before the time runs out.
V3 games
All the games are random. You can't choose which one you want to play, and you can't do anything to help your Tamagotchi win.
In all of these, the winner will get Gotchi points.
In the building blocks game, your Tamagotchi will try to build a tower using blocks.
If their tower falls, they'll lose.
In the ball game, they'll try to stay balanced on top of a ball.
They'll lose if they fall.
The last game is an RC car race.
Your Tamagotchi will win if they get their car to the goal first.
V2 games
These games are random too, just like on the V3.
On this version, your Tamagotchi will also be able to play tug of war.
They'll win if they can make their rival fall.
The second game is a foot race.
In this one, your Tamagotchi must try to reach the goal before their opponent.
V1 games
These are the games that will appear if you connect two different versions. If I remember correctly, these may also appear when you connect two V2s.
First we have the balloon game. Your Tamagotchi must try to pop the balloon.
They'll have an advantage if they have a full stomach, but the result is still random.
The other game is speed eating. Your Tamagotchi will win if they finish all the food before the other Tamagotchi.
In this one, your Tamagotchi will have an advantage if they are hungry.
In these V1 games, your Tamagotchi will also have an advantage if you have taken good care of them or if they are older than their rival. I don't know if these things have any effect on the other versions' games.
Gift exchange
Your Tamagotchi can exchange gifts with other Tamagotchi devices.
The items you can get on these are not as well documented as the ones on the Japanese versionsβ¦
But I assume a gift that makes your Tamagotchi happy will make their friendship with the other Tamagotchi increase,
and one that makes them upset will make it decrease.
The Tamagotchi you press the β· button on will be the one to get the gift.
If you wrap a present in the notebook menu, your Tamagotchi will give it to the next Tamagotchi you send them toβ¦
Or, at least, that's what they should do.
Sometimes, they'll make a bad gift instead.
They'll make an odd face when this happens. You have to scold them.
On the V3 and the rerelease, they may do something together before the gift scene happens.
Visit
This option does not exist on the V2.
The Tamagotchi you press the β· button on will go visit the other Tamagotchi and they'll do something together.
I'm not sure what's special about this option. I assume it's just a safer option than the other two, since you don't risk
losing a Happy heart for losing a game or having their friendship level decrease because of a bad gift.
Marriage
After spending a day as an adult, your Tamagotchi will be able to marry other Tamagotchis via connection.
If their friendship level is as high as it can be, they'll get married and have babies the next time they connect. If it's lower, the chances of it happening are lower too.
On these versions, there's a potion that will make your Tamagotchi's friendship level with the next Tamagotchi they connect to increase to the highest level.
You'll be able to get it, if you can find one of the secret codesβ¦
Remember that a V2 or a V3 won't be able to marry a Keitai series device.
