Tamagotchi list
Here, I'll show you all the characters that appear on these versions and how to raise them.
The type of Tamagotchi you'll get depends on the care you've given them and which parents they had,
but the character you'll get from the ones in that type will be random in many cases.
I'll also show you their tastes in food. The food item above is the one they like, and the one below is the one they hate.
They all love the steak. (This is the only food item Oyajitchi likes…)
I'll introduce them in different categories:
- [Babies]
- [Toddlers]
- Teens:
- Adults:
- [Seniors]
Before we get started, I have to explain how care mistakes work in this version.
As I already explained in [the corresponding section], there are two care categories, but
only the one with the most care mistakes is really taken into consideration.
This means that having three physical mistakes and no mental ones is the same as having three physical ones and two mental ones, or one physical one and three mental ones.
So, whenever I talk about the amount of mistakes needed to get certain characters, I'll just be referring to the category with the most mistakes
and not the sum of the mistakes in both of them. The previous examples would all count as having three care mistakes.

All of these characters can become a Meme group teen.
The first two listed will also be able to grow into the Mame group, and the other will be able to grow into the Kuchi one.
On the first generation the character is completely random, but on the following ones it depends a little on the parents they had.
It's easier to get the toddlers that can become Mame teens if their parents were in that group, but nothing's set in stone.
Every toddler can grow into a universal teen. On the V4 you need to make a lot of care mistakes. On the V4.5 you cannot make a single one, but on this version it's only possible to get these teens if you had a universal adult on the previous generation or you married your character to one that was in this group. The easiest method is to raise an Oyajitchi, who belongs to this group. But I also managed to get one of these teens by marrying an Ura Violetchi to a Gozarutchi I had on my V4.

Each toddler will become one of five different teen characters. Two of them are the universal ones, which will always appear if you make four care mistakes or more,
and are the same for all toddlers. The other three will be different depending on the toddler.
Between those three, one of them will always have a chance of appearing as long as you made less than four mistakes, one of them will only appear if you made exactly three,
and the last one will only appear with two mistakes or less.
This reduces the characters you can get to two depending on the exact amount of care mistakes you made.
One of those two will be chosen at random.
For example, a male Mizutamatchi will be able to become either Gourmetchi or Hinotamatchi if you make no mistakes, but he'll be able to become Young Kuchipatchi instead
of Gourmetchi if you make exactly three, and he'll become a universal teen (Obotchi or Hawainotchi) if you make four or more.

*As stated before, the universal teens will only appear if one of their parents was also in this group.
In any other case, you'll just get the character in the row below that. You'll also get that teen if you make a single care mistake.
You'll always get a universal teen if one of the parents was in that group and you make no mistakes.
If you make less than three mistakes you'll always get one specific character depending on the toddler you have, but, if you make three or more,
you'll get a teen chosen randomly between two different to that one.
For example, if you have a female Hitodetchi, you'll always get an Ura Young Marotchi if you make less than three mistakes, but, if you make three or more, you'll get
either Ura Young Memetchi or Ura Young Violetchi. If you didn't make a single mistake and one of her parents was in the universal group, you'd get
either Ichigotchi or UFOtchi.

On the V4, the easiest way of getting a Mame teen is to raise a Harutchi and avoid making care mistakes.
It's also possible with Puchitchi, but you'd only have a 50% chance and you'd also have to avoid making mistakes.
These teens will only be able to grow into Mame adults or universal ones if their skills are very low.
I'll explain this in more detail in the adult section.
On the V4.5 you'll get one of these for sure if you have either Tamatchi or Hitodetchi and you avoid making care mistakes,
unless one of their parents was universal.
In that case, you'd have to try giving them one or two mistakes, but, if you reach three, you take the risk of raising a Meme one instead.
These teens tend to become Mame adults, but they could grow into a Meme or Kuchi one if their gorgeous or spiritual skills are too high.

Every toddler can grow into these teens on the V4.
Harutchi will have the hardest time doing so. You have to make three mistakes (no more!) and, even then, you'd only get a 50% chance
to raise a Meme character.
Puchitchi and Mohitamatchi will have a 50% chance if you make less than three mistakes. If you make exactly three,
Puchitchi will always become a Meme teen, but Mohitamatchi will become a Kuchi one.
Mizutamatchi is the best character for these, since you'll always get a Meme teen if you don't give them care mistakes.
These teens will only be able to grow into Meme adults or universal ones if their skills are very low.
On the V4.5 you can also raise one of these from any toddler.
Tamatchi will have a 50% chance of doing so if you make three mistakes or more.
Hitodetchi will always become one if you make those mistakes, and the other two, Kuchitamatchi and Kuribotchi, will always become a Meme teen
if you avoid making three mistakes. But, if they have a universal parent, you'll have to make at least one to stop them from
growing into one of those characters too.
These teens tend to become Meme adults, but they could grow into a Mame or Kuchi one if their funny or spiritual skills are too high.

The Kuchi teens are the hardest ones to get on the V4.
To make sure you get one you have to raise Mohitamatchi and give them exactly three care mistakes.
If you don't make those three, you'll only have a 50% chance, and, if you make more, you'll get a universal one for sure…
You might be able to raise one with Mizutamatchi, but you also need to make exactly three mistakes and it'll be random.
These teens will only be able to grow into Kuchi adults or universal ones if their skills are very low.
It's also hard to get one of these on the V4.5.
You need to have either Kuchitamatchi or Kuribotchi and make at least three care mistakes.
Kuribotchi will become a Kuchi teen for sure, but Kuchitamatchi will only have a 50% chance.
These teens tend to become Kuchi adults, but they could grow into a Mame or Meme one if their funny or gorgeous skills are too high.

On the V4 you have to make four care mistakes or more to raise a universal teen.
These characters can become any adult, but you need to raise their skills a lot to get them out of the universal group.
If you manage to do it, you'll get an adult from one of the three good groups (chosen randomly.)
On the V4.5 it's a bit more complicated. First, you must marry your Tamagotchi to one from this group on another device (you may marry two senior characters.)
Once you have a universal character, every generation after that will grow into one of these characters until you make a mistake during the toddler stage with one of them
and they grow into a regular teen.
If you want one of these teens and you already made sure they had a universal parent, all you have to do is avoid making care mistakes at all costs.

On both releases, the character you get depends on their highest skill. Take a look at the left column to know which skill you have to train for each character.
On the V4, only Mame and universal teens will be able to become these adults.
Mame teens will just need to have their skills high enough to avoid becoming a universal adult.
Having a total of 50 points or more should be enough, but it'd be a good idea to try rising them more just in case.
Universal teens will need to work harder to get there.
It seems they need to have at least 100 points in total, but I usually raise the skill I want to have the highest over that value and
try to have the total be over 150, just to make sure.
Even if you manage to avoid having your universal teen grow into a universal adult, there's no way to make sure you'll get a Mame one.
For example, you could try to raise their intelligence a lot to try to raise a Mametchi, but you could end up raising a Tosakatchi or a Minotchi instead.
If you have a Mametchi and manage to train him so he has more than 350 intelligence skill points and more than 450 points in total before the matchmaker starts showing up,
he'll become a Tensaitchi.
On the V4.5 you can raise one of these adults with any teen that's not in the universal group, but it's way easier if you have a Mame teen.
If you have a Mame teen, you don't really have to do anything specific. In fact, it'd be safer to avoid raising their skills too much to avoid a change of group…
If you have a Meme or Kuchi teen, you might end up with a Mame adult if you raise their funny skill a lot.
The most common case I've seen is people ending up with a Mame adult of the funny skill by raising that skill over 150.
It should also be possible to make one of these other teens become a different Mame adult, but you'd still need to raise their funny skill a lot,
and I don't really know exactly what you have to do yet…
If you have an Ura Mametchi and manage to train him so he has more than 350 funny skill points and more than 450 points in total before the matchmaker starts showing up,
he'll become a Hyottokotchi.

If your Tamagotchi meets the requirements to become an adult from this group, the specific adult they turn into will depend on the care they got during the teen stage.
On the V4 you'll get a universal adult if you had a universal teen with less than 100 total skill points or another kind of teen with less than 50.
You'll get either Pyonchitchi or Pyonkotchi if they got less than three care mistakes, either Debatchi or Hanatchi if they got exactly three,
or either Gozarutchi or Masktchi if they got more.
During my research I've seen you might end up with Gozarutchi or Masktchi if you make more than three mistakes even if their skills are high…
It looks like, if you make enough care mistakes, you might randomly end up with a universal adult.
On the V4.5, universal teens will not be able to become adults from any other group, and the other teens will not be able to become a universal adult.
Each teen will be able to become two different adults:
- Hashitamatchi will become Mametchi with less than three mistakes or Kuchipatchi with three or more.
- Ichigotchi will become Mimitchi with less than three mistakes or Memetchi with three or more.
- Hikotchi will become Kuchipatchi with less than three mistakes or Gozarutchi with three or more.
- UFOtchi will become Memetchi with less than three mistakes or Violetchi with three or more.

Female ones will become Otokitchi.
If you marry an Ojitchi to an Otokitchi, they have two male Tsubutchis that will grow directly into Oyajitchi, skipping the other growth stages.
On the V4.5, Oyajitchi counts as a universal adult, so the next generation will also be able to become a character from this group.
