Tamagotchi types

These are all the types of Tamagotchi you can raise on the Keitai series and how to get them.

Babies

This stage only lasts 60 minutes:

Tip! Babies cannot die or get care mistakes.
The only purpose of this stage is to teach you how to take care of a Tamagotchi, so it doesn't matter if you mess up…
Sometimes I just turn off their sound and ignore them for the full hour.

Toddlers

There are five types of toddler.
One is special, they only appear on the first generation. They'll always be Hitodetchi (Keitama) or Cheritchi (Akai)
On later generation, it depends on who their parents were:

Type doesn't really do anything on this stage, it just affects the types of teen you can get.

Toddlers:

Teens

There are four kinds of teen. It depends on the toddler they were:

Kuribotchi A
Akai Kuribotchi A		 Good care Serious type A

Good care means few care mistakes. The amount of mistakes that would result in bad care depend on the toddler…
If you want to make sure you get the good care teen, avoid making over 2 care misses in both categories.
If you want to give them bad care, make sure you make over 5 mistakes in both instead. Follow the instructions to get a stubborn adult.

A first generation Hitodetchi / Cheritchi can become a teen of any type.
If you make 4 or more mistakes in at least one of the categories you will get a normal teen. You will get a serious one otherwise.
I don't know what the exact amount of mistakes required for each of the four types is, though…

This stage lasts two days.

Serious type

Adults

Your Tamagotchi will become an adult after spending two days as a teen.
Their type will depend on the care mistakes you made.
Each teen type has different requirements to become each adult type, but I'll explain how to get each adult regardless of teen type.

Your Tamagotchi will be able to marry via connection after being an adult for a day.
After three days being an adult, the matchmaker will start visiting. That way your Tamagotchi will be able to marry even if you don't have a compatible device.
This stage lasts seven days. If your Tamagotchi doesn't get married in time, they'll become a senior character.

Serious type

The serious type characters are:

To get a serious adult you have to avoid making any care mistakes.
The requirements for each teen are:

The safest way to get them is to avoid making a single mistake!

Tip! Never look away from your Tamagotchi!
If you are away for half an hour, they could make a discipline call without you even realising it.
Try winning the games as often as you can, specially when your teen is about to grow.

Serious adults:

Normal type

The normal type characters are:

You'll get a normal adult if you don't meet the requirements for any other type.

Tip! The easiest method is to make two physical mistakes and avoid making mental ones.
Try winning the first game as much as you can, but avoid playing the second one.

Normal adults:

Naughty type

The naughty type characters are:

To get a naughty adult you have to make a lot of mental care mistakes, but avoid making physical ones.
The requirements for each teen are:

If you make at least 5 mental care mistakes and avoid making physical ones, you will get a naughty adult no matter what teen you had.

Tip! Let your Tamagotchi sleep with the lights on!
The other kinds of mental mistake might make them sick.
You will probably have to let them get a couple of mistakes from having an empty happy meter, but if you want to avoid sickness you can just change the time to make them sleep and leave the lights on for an hour to make some extra mistakes.
Try winning the second game a few times, but avoid playing the first one.

Naughty adults:

Stubborn type

The stubborn type characters are:

*Wooltchi / Akai Wooltchi is Kurokotchi / Akai Kurokotchi wearing a cotton costume.
Use the "Cotton " item for them to wear it or take it off if they are already wearing it.

You must make a lot of mistakes in both categories to get a stubborn adult…
The requirements for each teen are:

Tip! Ignore your Tamagotchi for an entire day!
The day you get a teen, let them go to bed with very low hungry and happy meters…
The next morning, turn their sound off and don't heal them until right before they go to sleep.
And, of course, don't forget to let them sleep with the lights on!
Avoid playing games.

Watch out! Don't heal them every time they get sick!
If your Tamagotchi gets sick five times during the same stage, they'll die!
If you want to keep making care mistakes, you should just let them stay sick.
They won't die unless you let them stay sick or hungry for 12 hours…
Heal and feed your Tamagotchi right before they go to bed.

Stubborn adults:

Paparatchi

Any Dorotchi / Tengutchi that was a serious type A teen will become Paparatchi / Akai Paparatchi after spending three days as an adult.

Tip! Raise a Flowertchi!
Once you get them, have them marry a serious or normal adult.
The baby will become a(n Akai) Kuribotchi A, and then, if you take good care of them, the (Akai) Young Mametchi A you need.
Follow the tips to raise a naughty adult to get Dorotchi / Tengutchi and you are done!

Keep in mind you will have to wait another three days before the matchmaker starts coming.
It will be as if they just started the adult stage again.

Paparatchis:

The guide I'm using claims they are a naughty adult, but they behave like a stubborn one in my experience…

Oyajitchi

To get (Akai) Oyajitchi you just have to marry two senior characters.
They'll always have two male babies that will grow directly into this adult, skipping the toddler and teen stages.
You can only marry oldies via connection! If you don't have two compatible devices you won't be able to do it.

Oyajitchis:

Seniors

The seniors are:

Your Tamagotchi will grow into the senior stage after spending seven days as an adult.
The only way you can get to the next generation after getting them is having them marry the opposite gender senior character via connection. You'll always get a(n Akai) Oyajitchi the next generation.
If you cannot do that, you'll have to let them die and start over from generation one…

Tip! Get a lot of care misses! That way, their death will be registered as an old age death.
There's nothing special about that, but it just feels better than having them die from sickness or hunger…
If you wanna raise an oldie but you can't get them married, do it on an even generation.
Since the "next" generation will be the first one (odd) again, you'll avoid getting the same adult twice in a row.
